Emily Bleke and Finnlay Godsey both hit a home run for the Bellmont Braves on Monday night in their 11-0 home win over the New Haven Bulldogs in Decatur.
Bleke connected on the first homer of the night. Her two-run home run in the bottom of the second inning put Bellmont ahead 3-0.
Godsey drove in three runs in the fourth. But unlike Bleke’s home run an inning early, Godsey’s was an inside-the-park-home run. That made it a 9-0 game.
Bellmont pitcher Bella Ashley only allowed one hit through five innings while recording seven strikeouts and issuing only one walk.
