LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers have claimed infielder Luken Baker from the St. Louis Cardinals and designated right-handed pitcher Jack Little for assignment.

Baker, 28, has spent the majority of his 2025 season with the Cardinals’ Triple-A affiliate, Memphis Redbirds. In 224 at-bats for Memphis, Baker has produced a slashline of .196/.309/.706. 

The infielder has seen some time in the majors in 2025, as with 34 at-bats for St. Louis, he had a slash line of .235/.366/.690. Baker has a total of 160 career MLB at-bats, 73 games played, and has a combined slashline of .206/.317/.655. Baker is in his last minor league option year.

The Dodgers also announced that they have optioned Baker to OKC. 

Little, 27, has only appeared in 2 MLB games so far in his career, all for Los Angeles, earning a 6.00 ERA with two strikeouts and throwing three innings. 

The 27-year-old righty had spent the majority of his 2025 with OKC and appeared in 36 games with the Comets, producing a 4.64 ERA in 42.2 innings pitched. Little has contributed that with a 1.36 WHIP and 39 punchouts. 

In his 2-25 campaign, he has a low 21.1% strikeout rate and a prominent 10.3% walk rate in those 36 games for the Comets. 

Little has a career MiLB ERA of 4.89 in 138 games. In 171 innings pitched, Little has an 11-9 record, 172 punchouts, and a 1.36 WHIP. Little had a hot start to his season down in the minors, but once the calendar turned to June, he surrendered 17 earned runs in 19 innings.Â
