SIDMAN, Pa. – Maryland State scored runs in each of its first four at-bats on the way to defeating New York 11-1 in seven innings at Forest Hills Junior-Senior High School during an All American Amateur Baseball Association Tournament opener in Pool C.
A four-run seventh inning ended the game by run rule. Griffin Puvel tripled and drove in three runs. Caleb Lawson and Derek Poole, who doubled and scored three runs, each added two hits. Lawson stole two bases.
