The Milwaukee Brewers (69-44) and the Atlanta Braves (47-65) wrap up a 3-game series Wednesday at Truist Park in Atlanta. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET (FS1). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s MLB odds around the Brewers vs. Braves odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Brewers lead 3-2

The Brewers picked up a 7-2 victory in Tuesday’s game, Milwaukee’s fifth consecutive victory. The Brewers have won 8 of the past 9 outings, too, as they own baseball’s best record. The Over (7.5) cashed in Tuesday’s game, and it is 7-1 in the past 8 contests since July 28.

The Brewers jumped out to a 4-0 lead by the third inning and extended it to 7-1, pushing the total Over with 2 runs in the seventh. OF Isaac Collins went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and 2 RBIs, while SS Joey Ortiz finished 2-for-3 with 2 runs and a walk. 1B Andrew Vaughn also chipped in a pair of RBIs.

Milwaukee’s offense has been on fire lately, going for 7 or more runs in 4 of the past 5 games and 6 of the previous 8 outings.

For the Braves, it wasn’t all bad, as DH Drake Baldwin was 2-for-4 with a run scored, and OF Eli White finished 2-for-4 with a double, solo homer, walk and 2 RBIs.

Atlanta has dropped 3 of the past 4 games, while going 4-12 in the past 16 games since July 19. The Over on Tuesday was a rarity, as the Under had been 4-1 in the previous 5 outings for the Braves.

Brewers 3, Braves 2

The BREWERS (+115) are worth a look in the series finale behind the southpaw Quintana.

The Braves are just 12-14 this season against left-handed starters and have struggled overall, sitting 18 games under .500. They’re 26-28 at home with a minus-29 run differential, and any hopes of a turnaround continue to fade. Meanwhile, the Brewers own the best record in baseball and have excelled on the road, going 33-24 away from home.

MILWAUKEE +1.5 (-175) is a bit pricey, but it offers some insurance. It’s also a reasonable option to include in a multi-leg parlay.

Really, playing baseball’s best team straight up is a much better value, but the Brewers catching a run and a half isn’t priced out line, either.

UNDER 8 (-110) could be the best play on the board.

While the Over hit in Tuesday’s game, the Under is 4-2 across the past 6 games for the Braves. As far as the Brewers are concerned, though, the Over is 7-1 in the past 8 outings, so be careful. Still, the Under is 10-6 in Quintana’s 16 starts for Milwaukee this season.
