CHENANGO VALLEY, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – One-time Section IV pitcher Justin Topa was back on the mound Tuesday night for the Minnesota Twins as he entered in the bottom of the 9th against the Detroit Tigers.

All he would need was three, as three came up and Topa sat down three, as he picked up the save, which is his first of the season.

He would strike out Javier Baez to start his outing, followed by two groundouts. He threw 15 total pitches, 12 of which were for strikes. The Twins would go on to win 6-3.

This was Topa’s 4th career save, and his 1st since September 2, 2023. All of his previous came in his 2023 season with the Seattle Mariners.
