The Rangers won two of three in this series against a good team, one they are vying for a wild card spot against, and generally speaking two of three in any series against a good team is a good thing. The problem, of course, is the fact that the offense was ass for two months and put the Rangers in a hole, and so even with taking two of three they are still a game and a half back in the wild card race. More than that, really, since both Seattle and the Yankees have the tiebreaker advantage over Texas.
