The Los Angeles Dodgers are starting to get healthy as the season reaches its final months.

The starting rotation is as healthy as it’s been all year, with Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Shohei Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell all contributing, along with Clayton Kershaw and Emmet Sheehan.

There are three key position players out in Hyeseong Kim, Kiké Hernandez and Tommy Edman, but Max Muncy is back and looks like he never left.

While the bullpen is still dealing with its fair share of injuries, there appears to be good news on the horizon for many of its key pieces.

As the Dodgers get set for a three-game series with the Toronto Blue Jays this weekend, here’s the latest injury updates on the ailing Dodgers.

Hyeseong Kim Injury Update

Kim was placed on the 10-day injured list on July 29 with left shoulder bursitis. At the time, manager Dave Roberts said it was likely going to be a short stint, and that still appears to be the case.

Kim has already been swinging a bat and taking grounders, and Roberts expects the young infielder to return soon.

Tanner Scott Injury Update

Scott has been out since July 22 with left elbow inflammation. He underwent an MRI that revealed no ligament damage, and started a throwing program last week.

Roberts said he expected it to be a shorter IL stint for Scott, and that still appears to be the case. Scott threw his first bullpen session on Tuesday and came out of it with no issues.

Kiké Hernandez Injury Update

Hernández has been out since early July due to an elbow injury. The Dodgers have tried different procedures to get him back to full health, but thus far, haven’t found much success.

Roberts admitted this week he was “hopeful” Hernández would return this season, but said it wasn’t a guarantee.

There was finally some good news on Wednesday, though, as his elbow responded well to a cortisone injection and PRP and he was running on the field pregame.

Tommy Edman Injury Update

Edman was placed on the IL on Monday after reaggravating his lingering ankle injury.

Roberts said the Dodgers will be extra careful with Edman this time around so the injury doesn’t continue to flare up, and potentially keep him out of postseason play.

“I don’t know how long it’s going to be, but I do think that he’ll be back at some point [this season],” Roberts said. “And I think the main thing is that we just find how we can kind of make sure that this doesn’t happen again.”

Kirby Yates Injury Update

Yates was placed on the injured list on Aug. 1 with lower back pain. Roberts said the Dodgers are still trying to figure out the main issue, but said he’s confident Kirby is “going to get back to who he is soon enough.”

Roki Sasaki Injury Update

Sasaki spoke to reporters this week for the first time since May, and provided an in-depth update on his status. Click here to read the full update, but in short, he said he’s pain free and ready to ramp back up toward a late season return.

Michael Kopech Injury Update

Kopech was placed on the IL on July 1 with a knee injury. A week later, it was revealed he underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus.

Kopech is eligible to rejoin the team on Aug. 27, and it appears that’s exactly when he plans to return.

“To be honest with you, I think I could be back a lot sooner than 60 days but that’s obviously not a possibility at this point,” Kopech said last month. “I just looked at it with one of our trainers. I think August 27 is the earliest I can be back so I have that circled. If that’s realistic, I’ll be back then.”
