NORMAN — OU baseball is projected as a No. 2 seed in the NCAA baseball tournament across the board.
Before the Sooners (32-17, 13-14 SEC) were swept by Kentucky last weekend, they were in play to host a regional at L. Dale Mitchell Park for the second consecutive season. That seems out of reach now with No. 3 Texas rolling into town this weekend.
OU has a solid resume with eight ranked wins, including a pair of top-10 non-conference victories and five SEC series wins. The Sooners are 5-4 in SEC series on the season and 4-0 in neutral site games.
As of May 12, OU ranks 26th in the NCAA RPI.
