It’s game two of the three-game set with the Athletics, and it’s Hall of Fame day at Camden Yards. Hopefully that (plus the Adam Jones bobblehead) will lead to a large and lively crowd, and hopefully that crowd will get to see the Orioles defeat the A’s for the second straight game.

On the mound for the Orioles is Brandon Young, who is still looking for his first big league win. He has pitched pretty well his last few times out, so this may be the game he finally gets that W.

Rookie Jack Perkins will start for the A’s, making just his second start of the season. He’s been a multi-inning reliever this season with decent results. He will walk some batters so I hope the Orioles are feeling patient.

The top six of the Orioles lineup looks solid to me, something we maybe even imagined back when we thought this year wasn’t going to be a disaster. The last three are…something else. Jeremiah Jackson, Dylan Carlson, and Greg Allen make up the bottom of the lineup and the entire outfield. Two of them I had never heard of before this season. One of them I had never heard of before this week! And yet, here we are.
