One of the top Mets pitching prospects and three position players are being promoted to Triple-A Syracuse, The Post’s Mike Puma confirmed.
Right-hander Jonah Tong — the No. 2 Mets prospect according to MLB Pipeline — is headed up after an impressive stint this year with Double-A Binghamton, while the organization’s No. 1 prospect, Jett Williams, will also join him in Syracuse.
Carson Benge and Ryan Clifford are also being called up to Syracuse and the Mets are promoting A.J. Ewing from High-A to Double-A.
The Mets do not currently plan to promote anyone from Syracuse to Queens, an industry source told Puma.

Tong has looked good in his 19 starts this season in Double-A, in which he’s posted a 1.58 ERA with 154 strikeouts.
Speaking with The Post last week, Tong said he wasn’t getting caught up in when he’d get called up.
“That’s not up to me. I [understand] it all,” Tong said. “Just going to be where my feet are. … It’s easy when you think of it that way, when you just control your controllables.”
Tong had taken part in the All-Star Futures Game last month, and Binghamton manager Reid Brignac told The Post last week that Tong was “ready for that next challenge.”
Williams has played center field, shortstop and second base this season in Double-A and rebounded from an injury-plagued 2024. He is hitting .281 with 10 home runs and 32 stolen bases this season.

Benge has moved quickly through the Mets system since the club took him in the 2024 draft. He also participated in the All-Star Futures Game.
Clifford is No. 7 in the Mets prospect rankings, according to MLB Pipeline, and has 24 home runs this year in Double-A.
