The awards keep coming for Isaac Collins. After being named NL Rookie of the Month for July, he kept his hot play going into August. His strong week earned him NL Player of the Week for the second week of August.

Collins easily had the best week in MLB with his performance in the past seven days. He hit .476/.577/.952 with 10 hits — two doubles, a triple, and two home runs. He also scored six runs, collected 8 RBI, and reached base a total of 15 times — 10 hits, three walks, and hit by a pitch twice. That resulted in a 0.8 fWAR in the past seven days, highest in all of baseball. It also included this walkoff home run in Sunday’s game.

Not only was Collins’ past week that strong, he’s been playing great overall. In his past 20 games, he has 10 multi-hit games, a walkoff home run, and 16 team wins. According to OptaSTATS, the only other player to accomplish that in the modern era was Yasiel Puig in 2013.

Collins is the third Brewer to win the award this season. William Contreras won the award in the third week of the season (April 7-13) and Christian Yelich won it in the 10th week (May 26-June 1).
