EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Mater Dei High School announced that Adam Wildeman has been hired as the new head coach of the Wildcats baseball program.
Wildeman, a 2018 graduate of Mater Dei, joined the school’s coaching staff in December 2023. He has served as both an assistant coach and preseason strength coach during the last two seasons.
In addition to his coaching role, Wildeman is a teacher at Resurrection School and serves as Athletic Director.
“This is a dream job for me,” Wildeman said. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to work with the incredible players and families we have here, helping them grow not only as athletes, but more importantly, as young men.”
Sam Fleming, Mater Dei Athletic Director, said, “Adam’s connection to Mater Dei as a player, student, and coach makes him the ideal choice to lead our baseball program.”
Wildeman will begin his duties immediately, focusing on preparing the team for the upcoming season and strengthening fundamentals.
