The Chicago White Sox made a series of roster moves prior to their series finale vs. the Detroit Tigers, including reinstating Martín Pérez from the injured list.

To make room for Pérez on the 40-man roster, the White Sox designated pitcher Jared Shuster for assignment, and to clear a spot on the 26-man roster, the team optioned pitcher Cam Booser to Triple-A Charlotte.

Pérez has been dealing with elbow inflammation in his throwing arm since mid-April, and was placed on the 60-day injured list on April 21, according to the team.

In four starts with the White Sox this season, Pérez has a 3.15 ERA and a 1-1 record, with 18 strikeouts in 20 innings.

Booser has split time between the White Sox and the Charlotte Knights, appearing in 32 total games for the Sox. He has a 1-4 record and a 4.85 ERA, with 29 strikeouts and 14 walks in 26 innings.

Shuster has appeared in 12 games for the White Sox and made two starts. He has an 8.04 ERA, with 12 strikeouts and five walks in 15.2 innings.

The White Sox have split the first two games of their series with the Tigers, and will try for a series win on Wednesday, with first pitch at 1:10 p.m.
