CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Pitcher Tejay Antone made his first appearance on Wednesday since April 7, 2024, when he tossed a scoreless inning for the Reds Class A affiliate in Dayton.
According to a social media post from the Dayton Dragons, the right-handed Antone walked one and struck out one and topped out throwing 96 mph.
Antone injured his elbow in that April 7, 2024 appearance and underwent surgery on his elbow on April 12. It marked the third elbow surgery in his career following Tommy John surgeries in 2017 as a Minor Leaguer and again in 2021 while with the Reds.
The 31-year-old Antone has a 2.47 ERA over 45 Major League games since 2020.
