The Nittany Lions have earned a commitment from right-handed pitcher Briar Persing, Chris Masse of the Williamsport Sun-Gazette reported on Sunday.
A couple more area athletes earning D1 scholarships. Montoursville’s Kayleigh Sheleman has committed to UMass and Montgomery’s Briar Persing will be joining Williamsport’s Deshaun White at Penn State #piaa

The Pennsylvania native totaled 83 strikeouts in a strong 2025 campaign.
Persing will join the team in 2027.
