The Phillies defense totally self-destructed in the sixth inning last night, as they allowed three runs to score thanks to a misplay in the outfield, a dropped play at the plate, failure to cover third base, and two throwing errors. Couple that with a lifeless performance from the bats and another in a long list of Jordan Romano meltdowns, it appears that the positive momentum from the start of the road trip has disappeared.
