CLEVELAND, Ohio — Guardians shortstop Gabriel Arias has worked hard this season, according to manager Stephen Vogt, to improve his hitting with runners in scoring position. A career .169 batter with RISP in his first three campaigns, Arias has been one of Cleveland’s most productive hitters with men on base.
Arias entered Thursday’s game hitting .259 (15-for-58) with three doubles, three home runs and 12 RBI in 16 games since returning from the injured list on July 26.
