For the past two years since its inception, the Foul Territory Network has quickly become the home of some of the more popular forms of content in the baseball media space. And on Thursday, the network further expanded its reach after coming to terms on a linear TV deal with numerous NBC Sports affiliates.
In a post on X from the Foul Territory social account, it was announced that two programs under the Foul Territory Network, including Fair Territory hosted by and MLB reporter Alanna Rizzo and MLB insider Ken Rosenthal, and Baseball America’s Hot Sheet, will be added to programming schedules of NBC Sports Bay Area, NBC Sports California, and NBC Sports Philadelphia.

While the primary audience for the Foul Territory Network has been YouTube, where they have 273,000 subscribers and counting, this is not the first time that the network has broken into linear television.
This deal further expands on the push from the Foul Territory Network to expand to linear television that began in 2024 when a deal was struck for the Foul Territory show, hosted by A.J. Pierzynski, Erik Kratz, and Todd Frazier, to air on the 17 RSNs under the Bally Sports banner, which was subsequently rebranded as FanDuel Sports Network.
Marc Weiner, the CEO of Make Plays Media, the production company behind the Foul Territory Network, issued a statement in light of the deal, explaining how this is a win for baseball media as a whole as the sport continues to “find its footing in the 21st Century.”
“We are excited to bring more of our shows to a linear TV audience on both coasts,” wrote Weiner. “Baseball America has long been the standard bearer for prospect coverage and Ken’s hard-hitting intel on his show has made a major impact in the baseball world. Our mission statement has led to big wins in the content space for a sport that is finding its footing in the 21st Century. Baseball the way it should be covered.”
