I get it. As a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, I was hungry for a World Series victory. It took 108 years for it to happen. There were plenty of fans who came and went, but when the Cubs won in 2016, it was the sweetest thing ever. Was it sweeter than a free hamburger? Heck yeah.
Milwaukee Brewers’ Burger Giveaway Sparks Drama
While I won’t turn down free food or besmirch another team’s attempt at winning a World Series, the Milwaukee Brewers have never won one, so they might be a little hungrier than most. Still, I will, however, point and laugh when a fan of that team doesn’t read the fine print, doesn’t even consider that the game has ended, and decides to call 911 to complain about it.

George Webb Restaurants’ Free Burger Promise
Here’s the story in case you missed it. George Webb Restaurants announced that if the Milwaukee Brewers were to win 12 games in a row, they would hand out 100,000 free burgers. Well, the Brewers won their 12th game in a row on Thursday, August 14. The excellent news for fans is that George Webb is going to give out plenty of free burgers on August 20. Not while they’re winning in what would’ve been their 12th game in a row, or not immediately after either. On Wednesday, August 20th, they would hand out the free grub. Not everyone got the memo. So this guy called the cops.

Did He Get the Burger? Probably Not
No word if this guy got his burger early. I’m guessing he didn’t. The overeagerness of this Brewers fan, though, sheesh. I’d tell him to act like he’s been there before, but oh, wait, they haven’t. Good luck in the playoffs, Brew Crew fan. Hope you avoid the Cubbie Blue; just sayin.
