ST. LOUIS — The infield at Busch Stadium was covered early Saturday afternoon due to a scheduled rain shower that indeed started up around 2:30 Central Time with some thunder.

According to weather.com, the rain should be gone long before the 6:15 p.m., CT (7:15 p.m. ET) scheduled start of Saturday night’s Yankees-Cardinals’ game.

The scheduled starting pitchers for Saturday’s game are All-Star left-hander Max Fried (12-5, 2.94) for the Yankees and right-handre Sonny Gray (11-5, 4.06 ERA) for the Cardinals.
