KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Just about anyone who visits the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in the 18th & Vine District recognizes the treasure it is to Kansas City.
Museum guests and sports fans alike have the opportunity to give it national recognition as USA Today’s “Best Attraction for Sports Fans.”
The entry for the museum reads:
“Artifacts on display at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City date from the late 1800s through the 1960s, chronicling the history of African American baseball. A highlight and popular photo op is the field of 13 life-size bronze sculptures of iconic African American players, several of whom have been inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.”
