The Detroit Tigers saw their four-game winning streak snapped with an 8-1 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Sunday. Here are some highlights from the game:
The Tigers quickly erased an early 1-0 deficit in the top of the third, with an RBI single from Kerry Carpenter to even the score at 1-1.
That, however, was short-lived, as the Twins roughed up their former teammate in the bottom of the frame, with six runs, including a solo home run from Byron Buxton to lead off the inning.
The Twins were just getting started, with two more base hits before an RBI groundout from former Tiger Kody Clemens. Another base hit and a walk loaded the bases for Brooks Lee, who all but put the game out of reach.
