TORONTO — Texas Rangers first baseman Jake Burger exited Sunday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre with left wrist discomfort.

Burger, who was 1 for 3 with a run scored and another driven in, was replaced by infielder Ezequiel Duran in the top of the seventh inning. He had three hits in Saturday’s blowout loss.

He will not travel with the team to Kansas City Sunday night and will instead return to Arlington to undergo an MRI. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Burger will miss two to three days.

“It doesn’t feel like my swing and it doesn’t feel like I’m fully swinging like I do,” Burger said. “Go get it looked at, hopefully it’s a day thing and then I’m back in there. I’m hopeful.”

Burger “felt something” in his wrist during the first at-bat of Saturday’s loss to the Blue Jays but continued to hit 4 for 7 with a walk between then and his Sunday exit. He reaggravated it Sunday when he swung and missed at a low-and-away José Berríos slurve in a fourth-inning at-bat.

The 29-year-old has already taken two separate trips to the injured list this season. He missed 10 games with a left oblique strain from June 21-July 2 and missed 20 games with a left quad strain from July 13-Aug. 8.

Burger has slashed .241/.274/.416 with 12 home runs in his first season with the Rangers after he was acquired from the Miami Marlins this past winter.
