NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Three Commodores helped lift the 2025 Cape Cod League Championship trophy last week as summer ball wraps up ahead of the fall semester.

Braden Holcomb, Matthew Shorey and Ryker Waite celebrated another title for the Bourne Braves, the organization’s fourth championship and third in the last four years.

Holcomb played 38 games with the Braves, batting .285 with six doubles and 17 RBI which tied for most on the team.

Waite also totaled 17 RBI, owning a .287 average with a pair of home runs, two triples and four doubles. Waite and Holcomb combined to steal 24 bases.

Shorey tossed 30.1 innings for the Braves, compiling a 2-1 record with a 2.37 ERA. He tallied 30 strikeouts and held opposing hitters to a .211 average.

Jakob Schulz competed with the Falmouth Commodores, throwing 15.1 innings over 14 appearances. Schulz recorded a 2.35 ERA with 23 strikeouts.

Vandy had two representatives selected to the 2025 Cape Cod League All-Star Game in Waite and Schulz.

In the NECBL, Will Hampton spent his summer with the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks, hitting .337 over 28 games with two home runs, four doubles, 19 RBI and 18 stolen bases.

Tristan Bristow appeared in 10 games with the Newport Gulls, striking out 32 batters over 22.2 innings.

With the North Shore Navigators, Aukai Kea hit .282 in 35 games, driving in nine runs on one homer and five doubles. Kea was selected as a reserve for the 2025 NECBL All-Star Game.

Nate Teague pitched for the Sanford Mainers, making nine appearances with 12.0 innings of work. Teague struck out 19 batters on the season.

Tommy Goodin played for the Academy Barons in the California Collegiate League. Goodin launched seven home runs with 31 RBI and a .274 average.

Goodin represented the South Division in the 2025 California Collegiate League Showcase Game and was chosen to compete in the league’s home run derby, which he won with 18 homers in the final round.
