KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A local Kansas City Royals prospect is one step closer to reaching the big leagues.
Blue Valley Southwest product and Royals 2021 second-round pick Ben Kudrna was promoted from Double-A Northwest Arkansas to Triple-A Omaha on Monday, the organization announced.
Kudrna, 22, had a 2-7 record and a 4.21 ERA in 19 starts with the Naturals this season. He was promoted from Single-A to Double-A on July 23, 2024.
He joins Kansas City native Carter Jensen as local Royals prospects who will be playing for the Omaha Storm Chasers.
