The New York Yankees have had a great start to the 2025 MLB season as they look to rebound after their World Series loss last season.

New York has started the season with an 18-13 record, which has them sitting two games ahead of the Boston Red Sox in the American League East.

Ahead of Thursday’s series opener, the MLB made a massive announcement regarding Yankees star outfielder Aaron Judge.

The MLB announced that Judge was named Chevrolet AL Player of the Month for the months of March and April and he was joined by Pete Alonso of the New York Mets who won the award for the NL.

This is a massive honor for Judge, and also one that is not too surprising thanks to his historic start to the season.

So far this season, the power-hitting outfielder has a .427 batting average, 1.282 OPS, 10 home runs and 32 RBIs.

It has truly been an incredible start for the 33-year-old superstar and he is the clear favorite early on to win the third AL MVP award of his career.

Of course, Judge was named AL MVP last season after finishing the year batting .322 with 58 home runs and 32 RBIs.

Judge will now try to continue his torrid start to the season as he looks to not only win his third MVP award, but also lead New York back to the World Series after their disappointing loss to Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman and the Los Angeles Dodgers last season.
