Good morning, Mets fans!
Top prospect Carson Benge has been placed on the minor league seven-day injured list. Benge was on fire with Double-A Binghamton in July, prompting the organization to promote him to Triple-A Syracuse. He was 3-for-12 with Syracuse before his injury.
Benge’s July was nothing short of extraordinary. He earned Eastern League Player of the Month honors after slashing .397/.482/.726 with seven home runs, 17 RBIs and 22 runs scored in 23 games, ranking among the league’s top players in average, OBP, slugging, OPS and hits.
