Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s MLB odds around the Reds vs. Angels odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.
Season series: Reds lead 1-0
The Reds opened the interleague series against the Angels with a 4-1 victory Monday. DH Gavin Lux got the Reds off to a good start with a 2-run HR in the top of the first inning, and Cincinnati ended up going wire-to-wire for the victory. LF Austin Hays and RF Noelvi Marte each collected 2 hits, too, with Hays posting a triple and RBI.
For the Angels, 1B Nolan Schanuel had the only multi-hit effort, collecting 2 singles with a run scored in 4 at-bats. LF Taylor Ward drove in their only run of the game with an RBI double in the bottom of the first inning.
Cincinnati has pulled to within 1 game of a NL Wild Card spot, and its plus-52 run differential ranks the Reds fifth in the NL. The Reds have won 4 of the past 6 games, while going 6-3 across the previous 9 outings, as the Under is 11-4-1 in the previous 16 contests.
Los Angeles has dropped 3 of the past 4 games, while allowing at least 4 runs in 12 games in a row since Aug. 5. The Over is 9-2-1 in the 12-game span.

Reds 6, Angels 3
The REDS (-150) are a strong play on the road behind Greene, who has arguably been Cincinnati’s best pitcher since the All-Star break.
The Angels have been competitive, but the pitching staff continues to hemorrhage runs, and that’s not likely to turn around with a very giving Hendricks on the bump.
Take the REDS -1.5 (+115) on the run line if you’re a little more on the adventurous side.
It’s always tough to back a favorite on the road laying the run and a half. Nothing is ever a certainty, but on paper, all signs point to Cincinnati. Greene is humming along, while Hendricks is struggling in the past 7 games, as well as overall at home.
OVER 8.5 (-115) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at most.
Greene isn’t likely to give much up, but the Reds offense should do most of the heavy lifting against Hendricks to get this Over just across the finish line.
