CHICAGO, ILL — It was an uneventful night in Chicago, as the Milwaukee Brewers dropped their second game of a doubleheader 4-1.
After losing 6-4 in the first game, Milwaukee had a chance to rebound and early on that opportunity looked pretty good as Andrew Vaughn got Milwaukee on the board first with a 1-0 lead.
But Chicago responded with two runs in the second on a single by Owen Caissie and an RBI double by Michael Busch.
Milwaukee offense wouldn’t score again, as Jameson Tallion went six innings, allowed five hits, one walk, and six strikeouts.
Brandon Woodruff went four innings, allowed five hits, three earned runs, and six strikeouts.
Chicago would add insurance runs later in the game off Aaron Ashby. Milwaukee continues their series against Chicago on Wednesday. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. with Jacob Misiorowski expected to start for the Brewers and former Brewer Colin Rea will take the ball for the Cubs.
