Sports Illustrated | Joseph Randazzo: Giancarlo Stanton hit two home runs Tuesday night as part of a Yankee power barrage. That’s nothing out of the ordinary for the slugger, who missed the first half of the season to injury. In the quarter-season since his return, he’s hitting .306/.386/.619. His 2025 power barrage has him up to 43rd all-time on the HR leaderboard, with 500 career home runs looking increasingly likely for Big G. You can’t stop him. You can only hope to contain him.

Fox Sports | Deesha Thosar: The Yanks play host to Boston this weekend in the Bronx for a four-game set. This isn’t exactly your daddy’s Red Sox-Yankees rivalry any more, but with both clubs battling for playoff positioning, the weekend could be a lot of fun. Or not, depending on how things go. The Yankees are a dismal 1-5 against Boston so far this season. Four consecutive Yankee wins this weekend would be just keen. Take a look at the series preview.

ESPN | Kiley McDaniel: ESPN has its in-season Top 100 MLB prospects ranking up. Three Yankee farmhands make the cut. George Lombard, Jr. leads the way (45th), with Cam Schlittler (69th) and Spencer Jones (81st) joining him in the top 100. Like many others, McDaniel notes that despite Jones’ hot streak there is a concerning history of contact issues. Nevertheless, Jones’ resurgence likely made it impossible not to have him in the top 100.

The Athletic | Brendan Kuty and Keith Law ($): An… interesting… story to finish off the day. Core Jackson, whom the Yankees drafted in the fifth round last month, got himself into some trouble at the University of Nebraska. Jackson, who was “blackout drunk” at the time, drew a swastika on the door of a Jewish student in 2021. Prior to last year’s draft, Jackson called teams to own up to what he called a “really stupid mistake.” The Yankees really dug into Jackson, doing what Damon Oppenheimer called the “most thorough” dive into a player in his 23 years with the organization. Ultimately, they chose to draft Jackson this summer after he went undrafted in 2024.
