It has been a couple weeks since the Nats have really gotten blown out, but that happened last night. They were dominated by the Mets from start to finish in a one sided beatdown. Now they will look to bounce back and even the series with their hottest pitcher on the mound.
The Nats have made a couple tweaks to the lineup with a righty on the mound. Luis Garcia Jr. will be at second base. Robert Hassell will be back in the lineup patrolling center field. Paul DeJong will slide from second to third base. Daylen Lile will DH and Drew Millas will be behind the plate. He will be catching Brad Lord, who has been great lately.
The Mets have a near identical lineup to last night. Their one change is flipping Cedric Mullins and Luis Torrens in the lineup. Otherwise, they are keeping the same group that put up 8 runs last night. Kodai Senga will be on the mound. His 2.35 ERA is ace level, but his walk issues often keep him from going deep into games.
