Raisel Iglesia picked up the win on the mound in the first game as a reliever. He threw one inning, allowing one earned run on three hits with one strikeout. Marcell Ozuna provided much of the offense with a home run and two RBIs on a 2-for-3 night at the plate.

Atlanta’s Spencer Schwellenbach threw seven innings and won his second game of the season in yesterday’s game. He allowed two earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts. Drake Baldwin was the only player to homer for Atlanta in the 5-2 win and also scored three of the five runs with two RBIs, going 3-for-4 at the plate.

Mitchell Parker will take the mound for Washington in the third game of this series. The left-hander is 3-3 this season with a 3.97 ERA on 37 hits and 26 strikeouts over 45.1 innings. Parker gave up four earned runs in his last start, totaling 15 earned runs in his last three starts after only one in his first two starts. He struck out five batters in four innings in that outing.

Atlanta will start Bryce Elder. The right-hander is 2-2 this season with a 4.97 ERA and 30 strikeouts through 38 innings this year. He gave up three earned runs in his last start with a season-high eight strikeouts over six innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
