Here are highlights from the Tigers’ 10-8 loss against the Kansas City Royals on Sunday at Comerica Park.

Tigers slugger Riley Greene blasted a 389-foot solo shot off a first-pitch changeup from Royals starter Seth Lugo for a 1-0 lead in the second inning. It was Greene’s 31st home run of the season.

Vinnie Pasquantino whacked a two-out, two-run home run off Tigers starter Jack Flaherty during a six-run third inning for the Royals.

Adam Frazier capped the Royals’ two-out, third-inning barrage and string of seven consecutive hits with an RBI double to right to make it 6-1.

The Tigers clawed back, as Jahmai Jones delivered a bases-clearing double that cut the deficit to 6-4 in the fourth inning.

The Tigers followed up the three-run fourth with three more runs in the fifth, starting with a solo homer by Wenceel Pérez that made it a one-run game.

Four batters later, the Tigers tied it at 6 on a two-out, RBI double by Dillon Dingler.

Zach McKinstry followed with a two-out, RBI single that scored Dingler and gave the Tigers a 7-6 lead in the fifth.

After the Royals scored three runs in the sixth to regain the lead, Maikel Garcia hit a solo homer off Tigers reliever Brenan Hanifee in the seventh to make it 10-7.

Spencer Torkelson provided the final margin by belting the Tigers’ third homer of the day with a solo shot in the seventh.
