The Nationals had another scrappy performance last night, but their comeback hopes came up short this time. Now they will look to defeat the Phillies in the rubber match. The Nats have really been giving the Phillies fits in their two matchups this week.

After the regular top two, the Nats are going with a righty heavy lineup with lefty Ranger Suarez on the mound for the Phillies. Riley Adams will be all the way up in the 3 hole. Lefty masher Andres Chaparro will be in the cleanup spot. Paul DeJong will get his first start in a couple games. Robert Hassell will shift to left field so Jacob Young can play center. Don’t love that Daylen Lile is not in the lineup. The struggling Jake Irvin will be on the mound.

The Phillies are putting out a similar lineup, but with a couple changes. JT Realmuto will get the day off and Rafael Marchan will get the start behind the plate. With a righty on the mound, Brandon Marsh and Bryson Stott will return to the lineup. Edmundo Sosa will be on the bench. Crafty lefty Ranger Suarez will be on the mound.

This should be yet another exciting matchup between one of the best teams in baseball and a suddenly energetic Nats squad. The Dylan Crews effect is real and he is making everyone around him better. Hopefully Jake Irvin can have a bounce back outing. Follow along in the comments down below and let’s go Nats!
