In the National League, the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers/San Diego Padres and New York Mets are in position for the final three MLB postseason spots, but division races and the wild-card races are far from over in the MLB playoff picture.

In the American League, the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners are in line for wild-card postseason bids, but their playoff positions are far from assured.
