Sacramento, Calif. – Major League Baseball has released the 2026 schedule and for the second straight season, the Tigers will start the year out west.
They will open on March 26 in San Diego and then play three more in Arizona.
The home opener will be on April 3 against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Six of the first 10 series will be on the road.
Key home dates include series against the Red Sox (May 4-6), the Blue Jays (May 15-17), the Yankees (June 22-24) and the Dodgers (Aug. 28-30).
The Tigers will play the Braves (April 28-30, the Mets (May 12-14) and the Cubs (July 20-22) on the road.
Also, the Tigers will be in Boston April 17-20 and will play in the annual Patriot’s Day game that coincides with the running of the Boston Marathon.
The regular season ends on Sept. 27 with the Tigers wrapping up a six-game home stand against two National League teams, the Nationals and Pirates.
