After a tough loss yesterday, the Nats are back in action in the Bronx. A ninth inning fake comeback made the score closer than the game was. The Nats need to respond and not bend the knee to the Bronx Bombers.

Daylen Lile remains absent due to his illness. The rest of the lineup is similar to last night. However, Brady House will replace Paul DeJong at third base. Robert Hassell and Dylan Crews will swap positions, with the former LSU star moving to DH for the night. Otherwise it is the same lineup. MacKenzie Gore will take the mound for the Nats.

The Yankees will make some tweaks with a lefty on the mound. Old friend Amed Rosario is in the lineup, playing third base. Paul Goldschmidt will hit leadoff, as he has been extremely productive against left handed pitching. With Aaron Judge nursing an elbow injury, the lumbering Giancarlo Stanton will play right field. The struggling Anthony Volpe will also return to the Yankees lineup. Luis Gil will be on the mound.

After the loss last night, a response is needed. MacKenzie Gore needs to bounce back from what was a difficult start as well. Hopefully they can build on that 9th inning from last night. Follow along in the comments down below and let’s go Nats!
