NEW YORK — The Mets have kicked into gear at an optimal time against their division rivals.

They fired up the offense to the tune of 14 hits and 13 runs in Monday’s 10-run win over the Phillies. Then, after blowing a two-run lead late on Tuesday, they knocked four straight ninth-inning hits in a 6-5 win on Tuesday.

Now, the Mets have a chance to secure a three-game sweep in the series finale at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at Citi Field.

Nolan McLean will be making his third start of his career. The 23-year-old has won his first two starts, allowing two earned runs in 12⅓ innings with 15 strikeouts.

On the other side, former Met Taijuan Walker will take the ball. Walker is 4-6 with a 3.45 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. He has recorded quality starts in three of his last four starts.
