The Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins offered prayers to those affected by a deadly shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minnesota.
A gunman killed at least two children and injured 17 other individuals after opening fire into the windows of Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis. The shooting reportedly occurred during an all-school mass Wednesday. The gunman died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials said.

Hours after the shooting, the Twins released a statement, calling for a “future where such violence no longer shatters lives.”
The Vikings released a similar statement Wednesday, condemning the shooting as a “senseless and cowardly act.”
The Timberwolves and Lynx posted the same statement on social media Wednesday.
Minnesota United FC mourned “this tragic and senseless act of violence.”
The Minnesota Aurora expressed their “outrage” at the shooting.
The Minnesota Wild joined the community in mourning the tragedy.
The Minnesota Frost say they “stand united against hate in all its forms.”
Government officials also responded to the shooting Wednesday. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz offered prayers to those affected. President Donald Trump called it a “tragic shooting” and a “terrible situation.”

The Lynx do not play Wednesday, but will host the Seattle Storm at home on Thursday. The Timberwolves are in the middle of the NBA offseason.
The Twins are scheduled to play an away game in Toronto on Wednesday. The team will return home to Minnesota on Friday to begin a series with the San Diego Padres.
The Vikings begin their season in Chicago on Sept. 8. The Vikings will not play a game in Minnesota until the following week.
