Going for a three-game sweep tonight, the Athletics take on the AL Central leading Detroit Tigers at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento. The A’s have shown resilience and spunk in the past two games against the team with the best record in American League.
Luis Morales, the 22-year-old righty will make his fourth career start tonight against the Tigers. The rookie is 1-0 with a 1.72 ERA in 15.2 innings. This will be the first time he faces Detroit. Morales will go up against Casey Mize for the Tigers. Mize is 12-4 with a 3.68 ERA in twenty-two starts this season. He has not pitched against the A’s this season.
