BROOKLYN, N.Y. (KLTV) – Former Van Vandal Hoss Brewer picked up his third save of the season in Brooklyn’s 8-7 win over Hudson Valley on Wednesday night.
The right-hander entered the game in the eighth inning.
In the eighth, Brewer allowed a double and a single to the first two batters of the inning. He then sat down the next three batters with strikeouts to end the inning. In the ninth, Brewer allowed back-to-back singles to begin the inning before getting Core Jackson to line out and Juan Matheus to ground out. A single by Kaeden Kent brought in two runs for the Renegades before Brewer got Josh Moylan to ground out and end the game.
Brewer threw two innings, allowing two runs on five hits, while striking out three.
Brooklyn and Hudson Valley continue their series on Thursday night.
