The Milwaukee Brewers welcomed their old buddy back to American Family Field over the weekend, and then he helped out his old friends during the week.
Though the Brewers lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks in a sluggish final game of a four-game series Aug. 28, Willy Adames homered twice for the Giants in San Francisco, and his team staged a walk-off win over the Cubs to sweep Chicago and allow Milwaukee to maintain its 6½-game lead in the National League Central.

Adames hit a two-run shot in the first inning after the Cubs had taken a 1-0 lead and then re-tied the game in the sixth with a solo blast.
He also made a flashy defensive play in the seventh.
Jung Hoo Lee then hit a walk-off single in the ninth to give the Giants a 4-3 win and a three-game series sweep over the Cubs.
The homers were the first hits of the series for Adames, who also had a two-homer game in his return to Milwaukee on Aug. 22, when the Giants opened a three-game set in Milwaukee.

Adames, who signed a free-agent deal with the Giants over the offseason, has had an up-and-down season, but the Giants have won five straight and nosed their way back into contention for the final wild-card spot.
