Here are three that you should keep your eye on.
Now the first series to keep your eye on is Red Sox versus Yankees, September 12th through the 14th.
Now this series is really important as far as the AL wildcard is concerned.
Boston currently holds the first wild card spot, while the Yankees are right behind them with the second wild card spot.
And while it looks like both of those teams have their spots in the postseason secured, the seeding will be very important to decide who gets home field advantage in that AL wildcard round.
The second series to watch for in September, the Cincinnati Reds against the Chicago Cubs September 18th through the 21st.

Now the Cubs pretty much have their wild card spot secured, but the Reds are sitting behind the Mets for that third and final wild card spot.
This could be one of the last opportunities for the Reds to gain ground on the Mets to try to get that final wild card spot.
Now the third series to watch in the month of September has divisional implications.
The Seattle Mariners against the Houston Astros September 19th through September 21st.
Now the Mariners hold the third and final wild card spot in the American League.
But they’re only two games behind the Astros for the top of the AL West, and this represents their best opportunity to jump the Astros and potentially win the American League West.

Now it won’t be easy because Houston is starting to get healthy and with Yordan Alvarez back in the Astros lineup, they’re as dangerous as ever.
But for the Mariners, this is an opportunity to do something they haven’t done in a long time.
