The Guardians secured another series win, this one against a really good opponent in the Seattle Mariners. Kyle Manzardo went 1-4 with another HR. Steven Kwan went 1-4 and had one of the best catches of the season against Josh Naylor that saved multiple runs.
Gavin Williams threw an absolute gem tonight. He tossed 7 innings and allowed just one run with 8 strikeouts to just one walk. Starts like this are starting to become normal for Williams, which is how you know he is starting to turn into a legit ace. The season he’s had has been so fun to watch. Cade Smith also looked incredible in a save situation, striking out 3 batters in 1.1 innings pitched.
The Guardians will go for the sweep tomorrow at 1:40 pm ET. It will be Tanner Bibee vs Bryce Miller. This is a big, big start for Bibee after what happened last outing. Let’s hope he delivers.
