THE DODGERS and Angels both lost.

The Los Angeles Angels continued their slump, losing their third game in a row and tied for last place in the American League West.

With just two hits, the Halo offense was almost non-existent in losing 2-0 to the Astros in Houston. But the Orange County team kept close, a 0-0 tie remaining until the bottom of the seventh.

The only Angel his were by Yoan Moncada and Jo Adell. Tyler Anderson pitched well for the Angels, working five innings and giving up five hits and no earned runs.

With the loss the Angels are 62-72 with a winning percentage of .463, even with the Athletics. The Angels will face the first place Astros again on Sunday.

The Los Angeles Dodgers bats were also pretty silent in losing 3-0 to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Blue Crew gathered only three hits: a double by Mookie Betts and singles by Shohei Ohtani and Andy Pages.
The loss went to Blake Snell (3-3), who worked 5.1 innings, giving up four hits and all three runs. He struck our eight D-backs and walked three.

LAD still leads the NL West, two games ahead of the Padres.
