Here are highlights from the Tigers’ 5-0 win over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
The Tigers broke a scoreless tie in the fifth inning with four runs. Jake Rogers tripled to center field, scoring Spencer Torkelson and Zach McKinstry. Torkelson reached on a walk and McKinstry singled.
Colt Keith then doubled to score Rogers and Gleyber Torres followed with a single to plate Keith.
Tarik Skubal pitched seven shutout innings, allowing four hits and striking out four in a 93-pitch outing.
