Culpeper will be feeling the brotherly love in a Major League ballpark as part of a state level media takeover in Philadelphia this month.

Virginia Tourism extended the advertising invitation to Culpeper Tourism as well as Fairfax, Alexandria, Prince William, Virginia Beach and Norfolk, according to a recent report to town council.

“The co-branded takeover will hit the heart of Philadelphia’s legendary sports culture with a Virginia takeover at Citizens Bank Park, positioned to make a big impact during peak game-day energy.”

The media takeover Sept. 8-13 is estimated to reach potentially 248,394 fans — six games, each with 41,399 average attendance, per MLB, according to the town report.

Tourism advertising for Culpeper will be located at bus and Metro stations around the ballpark home to the Phillies as well as 12 wrapped vehicles around the stadiums before and after each game.
