The Minnesota Twins entered their game against the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday with the longest win streak in baseball.
Currently on a 10-game win streak, they are in a fight to extend their streak and sweep the Orioles in Baltimore.

Many players have contributed to the turnaround of their season, and Minnesota will have to close out the end of the series without two of the team’s best players.

As the bottom half of the third inning began, Cedrick Mullins swung at a pitch from Chris Paddack that resulted in a fly ball.
The fly-ball would move towards an awkward spot in the outfield, which resulted in shortstop Carlos Correa and center fielder Byron Buxton both trying to catch it for the first out of the half-inning.
This would result in a miscommunication between the two players and both of them would end up colliding as Buxton came down with the catch.

It was an ugly scene, and neither player would be able to get up and walk off the field for an extended period of time.
Buxton and Correa appeared to have collided their heads off one another.
They would both get checked out by the team’s trainers, resulting in Correa leaving the game immediately and Buxton would try to stay in for the remainder of the game.
After trying to return, Buxton would also exit the game.
The sudden injuries to two of the Twins’ best players called for a shift in positions for Minnesota.
Dashawn Keirsey Jr. shifted to center field while an entire shift in the infield was made that resulted in Ty France playing first, Jonah Bride playing second and Brooks Lee moving to shortstop.
Hoping that the two injured players are okay, the Twins will look to keep their lead and extend their winning streak to 11 games.
