The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off another unexpected loss against the Baltimore Orioles. It was their fourth straight loss after being swept by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Several fans were upset with their defeat, and it’s not the first time the team has been called out for its poor performance.

Dave Roberts and his squad will need to step up their game and retain their lead in the AL West. Despite Shohei Ohtani on the mound, the bullpen was shaky and Tanner Scott opened up on his terrible outing that cost the team.

Blake Treinen did a decent job after stepping in for Ohtani. However, at the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dodgers sent Scott, who surrendered a walk-off home run to Samuel Basallo. The Orioles won with a 2-1 final score.

“I definitely made that wrong pitch, and it cost us again. I’m tired of it happening; it’s kind of like baseball hates me right now. I just keep making terrible pitchers, and it’s costing us every time, so it’s not fun. For everyone that threw tonight, it was great, and for that to happen, it sucks. Feels terrible and I have to figure it out because baseball hates me right now,” Dodgers pitcher Tanner Scott said.

It’s been a tough loss for Scott, and things are not getting any better. With the postseason nearing, the pitcher must step up with his performance.

The Boys in Blue were lucky since the San Diego Padres have had a miserable losing streak themselves. The Padres are still trailing the Dodgers by two games, and the battle for the AL West division continues.

The Dodgers still have a tough schedule ahead as they must face the Phillies and the Giants. While they are only a few games away from qualifying for the playoffs, they still need to improve. Several insiders believe the San Diego Padres will have a better chance of winning the NL West division. A Wild Card spot alone will not be enough for the defending World Series champions.
