TAMPA, Fla. — Steven Kwan’s two-run single sparked a five-run second inning Friday and the Guardians went on to beat the Rays, snapping Tampa Bay’s seven-game winning streak with a 7-1 victory at George M. Steinbrenner Field.

Kwan, celebrating his 28th birthday, reached base three times, including a walk and two hits. His bases-loaded line drive to right off Rays lefty Ian Seymour opened the scoring, and Cleveland’s offense poured it on after that.
